Extortionist is the raw, relentless pulse of the Pacific Northwest—a band born in the shadow of rain-soaked evergreens by way of Coeur D'Alene. Forged from the grime of the PNW's rural landscape and the quiet fury of coastal solitude, Extortionist channels haunting harmonies in the likes of Alice in Chains while fully capturing the visceral aggression of Slipknot – creating a sound that is both familiar and fiercely their own.

While many artists attempt to replicate the iconic sound of the 90s grunge and 00s metal, very few raise the bar to where Extortionist's album, Stare Into the Seething Wounds, will take you. Weaving heavy riffs, layered vocals, and daunting cadences together, their music crafts a brooding atmosphere that feels like a weight in one's chest.
